This policy explains how JF Automotive Ltd (“we”, “us”), which sells Elite Flash through elite-flash.com, collects and uses your personal information. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect and why

• Orders. Your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number and order details, so we can take payment, deliver your tool, send order emails and keep accounting records. The lawful basis is performance of our contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep financial records.
• Payments. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to the payment itself.
• Tool registration. Your contact details, car, registration and tool details, so we can provide the lifetime product warranty and support. The lawful basis is performance of our contract with you.
• Messages. What you send through the contact form or by email, so we can reply. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
• Your account. If you create an account, your login details and order history.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep the basket, checkout, your account and site security working; these are always on. With your permission we also use Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. Analytics stays off until you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Who we share it with

Only with the services we need to run the shop: Stripe (payments), our website host Kinsta, our email provider, delivery companies, and Google (analytics, only if you allow it). We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

Order and accounting records for six years, as required by UK tax law. Tool registrations for as long as the product warranty applies. Messages for up to two years unless they relate to an order.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email sales@elite-flash.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
